“Everybody’s workin’ for the weekend,” Loverboy sure nailed that saying!  I’m a corporate worker and it’s the weekend! I’ve been working in Corporate America for many years.  Working in Human Resources ironically enough has drained the human right out of me.  After waking up one day 30 pounds heavier, exhausted and completely unmotivated I decided there HAS to be a better way.  All I find myself focusing on is the negative, wishing I were different. I’d like to be a better cook, I’d like to spend more time with my kids, I’d like to care for my animals and people in my life.  So what did I do about it?  I did what any other overworked, stressed-out modern-day woman would do, I hired a life coach.

My coach has taught me how to take a hard look at who I am and what I have.  I also learned something which should have been glaringly obvious based on how I was feeling but wasn’t.  I haven’t cared enough for myself to give to anyone else.

This page and blog are dedicated to following my passion and using my inherent skills to help others maneuver life and work.  I hope you will find the information here useful but still fun to read and apply.

Remember, there is only one today!

I’m a freelance writer living in the Frozen Tundra or for non-football fans, Green Bay, WI.  I have worked in a corporate environment for over 10 years, mostly in Human Resources. As a writer, I aim to bring straight talk to the world of HR to employers, employees and job seekers.  I also have added travel and food pages to round out this blog and include two of my favorite non-work related things.
